The internationalization of university is a historical phenomenon of long duration that have acquired increasing institutional relevance in the recent decades, reason for which the present research takes it as study from its analysis at the Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR). Based on this discussion, the objective of the dissertation is to analyze and characterize the internationalization of UFRR in the period from 2009 to 2015, through the use of hybrid methodological procedures, based on a theoretical-historical-deductive model method that materializes itself both through bibliographical, and integrative review, as well as a case study. The results of the research on the internationalization of Universidade Federal de Roraima based on all results, points out as characteristics of an exogenous development pattern, whose nature is reactive and passive due to the high degree of dependence of international programs and agreements proposed by partner institutions , besides there are serious institutional gaps from the endogenous point of view regarding the reception of foreigners and sending of the academic community itself abroad.
