Resumo: | We assume that the relationship between geography, history and ideology play a role of capital importance for the process of creating and structuring of literature as well as for the development of studies and researches undertaken in the field of literary studies. But also the recognition of the necessity which is imposed to the horizon of literary studies in our days, in which urges the occurrence of approaches of transnational and transcultural character, more able to take over the world where national and cultural boundaries interrelate and intermingle always increasingly. This research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding on the participation of literary expression of the circum-Roraima region in shaping the Venezuelan and Latin America literatures, through the analysis of the novel Canaima, by Rómulo Gallegos. |
