Resumo: This thesis was motivated by the search for a solution to the water situation of the population of Guaratiba, West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, which constantly criticizes the water issues related to public supply at the end of the line; of the reductionsm of abstractions of groundwater, of an aquifer not yet officially recognized; for not having sewage network; of constant floods; allied with the needs of irrigation for production in a pole of ornamental plants and seedlings of species of the Atlantic Forest. The applications of the analytical models of water safety assessments of urban and periurban basins are presented. The combination of models aims to support the design and implementation of public policies that produce results that, although affected by estimated risks, are satisfactory in terms of promoting the quantity and quality of raw water intended for public supply, groundwater and water use, and other aspects of water security of urban and peri-urban river basins. The river basins are subject to a series of stressors, among them: environmental pressures, water demand, ordinary or accidental pollutants and extreme hydrological events, which generate more or less severe impacts on the quantities and qualities of the waters. On the other hand, these stressors are the planning and management units for the establishments of the domestic, economic, environmental, urban and resilient water security establishments. As a result, the combination of models in the Guaratiba case study are pointed to aspects related to the stressors of "demand" and urban and environmental water security, which stands out as more priority indicators, indicating actions for several actors involved with the issues of water security, especially the River Basin Committee Guandu, Guarda and Guandu Mirim.
