Resumo: | In this dissertation a computer program for non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete plane frames is presented. An iterative technique consisting of breaking the solution into several linear steps is used. Both the non-linear relationship between stresses and strains for the materials, as well as the second-order effects due to the axial-flexural interaction, are considered in the analysis. The computer program is available for plane frames with straight members and alternatively members with circular and rectangular cross-section in the same structure are allowed. In addition, for each member it is possible to perform a subdivision into segments of constant characteristics, and also to allow for discontinuities at the ends. The computer program can be employed for calculating member forces and displacements associated with several loading hypotheses and also in the estimate of the bearing capacity of the structure. Refering to the stress-strain curves for the materials and to the ultimate strength of the cross-section, the CEB-FIP recommendations are used. Among the applications presented is an investigation in order to check the efficiency of he approximate method of the CEB-FIP, proposed for the design of slender members (λ≥35) subjected to combined bending and axial compression. |
