Resumo: In spite of being widely diffused in the country, in view of its constructive and economic advantages, the design and construction of composite steel and concrete structures using laminated profiles and precast hollow core slabs were not directly contemplated in the revision of the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 8800: 2008. In this context, the present work brings results of a numerical-computational research on the structural behavior of this typology under simple bending. The analyzes were performed using a commercial finite element program, combining different elements, namely: (i) shell plans to simulate the metal profile, (ii) three-dimensional solids for the representation of the hollow core slabs and (iii) bar to simulate the shear connectors and reinforcement. The analyzes consider the geometric and nonlinear behavior of the materials (physical) for estimation of strength and collapse of the composite beams. The results obtained are critically validated according to the experimental results of the tests carried out at LABEST / COPPE / UFRJ, allowing us to infer about the suitability of the model for application to other typologies of this constructive system. . The improvement of the values compared was given by the strategy of detailed and individual modeling of each elements in a representative and consistent way in order to avoid numerical instabilities. The consideration of linear elements in the connectors was fundamental to improve the results since it allowed the model to enter the plastic phase of the test.Também disponível on-line.
