Resumo: Education is an area that is constantly changing. The approaches, methodologies and curriculum are points of discussion and investigation by researchers and politicians in order to reconcile the teaching-learning process with the students' reality. Arts, Sciences and other disciplines make up a pedagogical matrix that is not always dialogical with each other. This research investigates the integration between the disciplines of Art and Science, using interdisciplinarity and Project Pedagogy as a bases, in a case study, the AlimentArte project, experienced by teachers and students of the Colégio Estadual Praia do Siqueira, located in the city of Cabo Frio / RJ. As a theoretical contribution, we present a bibliographic review on educational theories with Marxist premises, the importance of art-education and the relationship between art and science, with emphasis on the Systematization of Experiences, making interdisciplinarity feasible as an efficient pedagogical tool in the construction of learning. Thus, the AlimentArte project, whose theme was Food Health, presented the union between the areas of knowledge, Art and Science and enabled the participation of teachers and students who realized the importance of interdisciplinary practice as an effective pedagogical tool for understanding contents. We also point out the importance of the discipline of Art like any other in the school curriculum, working on practice and subjectivity sensitivity within a rational perspective. We advocate here an emancipatory education that can be carried out in a traditional school, in order to break with the fragmentation of contents, uniting theory and practice. The results of the research indicated the concern with the planning of classes and to try to overcome this difficulty, a technological tool was created in the form of educational software capable of alleviating the problem presented and strengthening the relationships between the participating teachers.
