Resumo: | In the process of manufacturing transportable liquefied petroleum gas containers, according to the normative requirements, it is recommended to inspect the structural welds. Inspection using conventional radiography is, operationally, a limiting factor due to the time involved in the processing steps and the way records are stored. In this work the objective will be to compare the images obtained through the two techniques using a container of type P13 as object of study. The equipment used can operate in both modes allowing both tests to be performed. The criterion adopted in the inspections to evaluate the equivalence of the generated images is the number of the wire visible in the IQI (spatial resolution). It was possible to evidence the similarity of the images obtained through the radiographic film and the radioscopic image, with gain of speed in the inspection and sharpness. By introducing a later step of image processing an improvement in image quality was verified. It can be concluded that the technique is feasible, as it meets the requirements required by standard, obtaining greater performance in some aspects depending on the conditions of inspection and access to the area of interest. |
