Resumo: | Presents a study of the Brazilian Sign Language (Língua Brasileira de Sinais - Libras) based on a very detailed observation of texts in this sign language. The main goal of this thesis was to detect marks of constituent segmentation corresponding to the boundary between propositions, and to identify the parts inside the propositions. The investigation tool used to isolate the units was the propositional structure. This instrument made possible to find embedded compositions and indicate its marks. The theory we based our analysis was the generative grammar in the version of the Distributed Morphology, and, more specifically, we accept the idea of Gaurav Mathur according to which in the architecture of the grammar the signs iconicity elapses of the interface between the spatial cognitive module and the articulatory-perceptual component of the grammar, i.e., a delayed, after-syntactic realization, the equivalent of the phonology. The study will be able to give subsidies for teaching written Portuguese to deaf people. |
