Resumo: | On the last decades the research of design solutions for wind energy generation systems have been growing and former barriers such as the sea have been broken. Design alternatives such as offshore wind turbines that until the end of last century were not known, today provide an array of mature projects that are in full operation. The current work presents the design of a floating offshore wind turbine supported by an TLP floating structure, the design criteria and the associated analysis the verify those criteria. The TLP floating structure is composed of three pontoons and on main column, the wind turbine selected for the design is the DTU 10MW turbine. For the hydrodynamic analysis the Ansys AQWA software have been considered and for the aerodynamics analysis the Aerodyn software from NREL has been used. Assessing the pre-established design criteria compliance through the results of the various analyses performed, it was possible to obtain a deeper understanding of the global behavior of a TLP type floating offshore wind turbine for the environmental cases proposed. |
