Resumo: The articulation between the media and its influences in teenagers behaviour concerning sexuality is revealing itself to be an important research field, since they, by trasnmiting information directed to these viwers, offer examples of values and interests. Thus, we sought to identify the discourses produced by teenagers and college teachers of undergraduate courses on sexuality. We seek to outline the concepts, values and attitudes that these social actors ascribe to sexuality, as well as checking the influence of media representations of sexuality constructed by them. The research was conducted at Campina Grande, state of Paraiba, at UFCG (Universidade Federal de Campina Grande) and UEPB (Universidade Estadual da Paraiba). The sample was composed of 170 (one hundred and seventy) students that entered the university on the 2011.1 term for History, Languages, Geography, Mathematics and Pedagogy and by 10 professors that taught on the mentioned above institutions. To understand the phenomenon under study used a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview, while procedures for data collection. Throughout this study, the results indicate that sexuality is a topic that interests students and teachers and mobilizes the pursuit of knowledge by adolescents. However, it is still regarded by them as a controversial issue, which has many meanings. Sexuality mobilizes values, beliefs, ethical, moral aspects, raising prejudices and difficulties to approach her at school. As a result, young people / students resort to various means of communication, especially the Internet and television, the search for knowledge and clarification on the subject. We found that professors consider important issues relating to sexuality, demonstrating the need for these to be introduced over the courses. However, despite the teachers show themselves receptive to discussing the topic of sexuality, contradictorily, referring to the family responsibility to address it with teens. Thus, we identify a large gap between what is expected to provide school and, on the other.
