Resumo: This dissertation constitutes a qualitative research in musical education and establishes as an empirical field an NGO located in the urban context of the city of João Pessoa - PB, designating as subjects the teachers of the music workshops offered by the institution. Through an ethnographic case study, I sought to understand the network meanings and values that guide the observed educational-musical practices and their relationships in the construction of an environment favorable to creative musical expression. The study is based on the theoretical contributions of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (Moscovici, 1995; 2005) and the habitus of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1983, 2001), which is incorporated into the discussion based on perspectives found in the work of Pamela Burnard 2012). Other bibliographic contributions emerge from aspects related to musical education in the third sector, collaborating to the reflection of issues pertinent to the theme, among which I highlight the purpose of the educational-musical work offered. The results show that the subjects construct the network of meanings and values that guide their educational practices from their respective musical life trajectories, as contributors to the musician's habitus formation, in addition to the institutional habitus (and other habitus) and representations in the local countryside. These dynamics favor the construction of an environment favorable to creative musical expression, sometimes as a construct of a socially engendered practice, or as the spontaneous consequence of diverse groupings.
