Resumo: | The study of aquatic macrophytes, and their use as a substrate, traces a path between multiple use constantly studied around these plants and their use as a substrate for the production of biogas, so as an objective the present work makes an investigation about the use of aquatic macrophytes, Egeria densa, Spirodela intermedia, Salvinia auriculata, Ludwigia helmintorrhiza and Salvinia minima, as a substrate for biogas production, the species were collected in the municipality of Santa Rita / PB and grown in 500 L tanks to evaluate their growth and in then placed in batch biodigesters on a laboratory scale in order to evaluate their production at a constant and controlled temperature of 35 ° C for a hydraulic detention time of 5 days. From the results obtained about the growth it was possible to verify a biomass gain in all the evaluated species having on average their growth per day 3.51% for Salvinia auriculata, 2.46% for Salvinia minima, 0.87% for Ludwigia helmintorrhiza, 0 , 61% for Spirodela intermedia and 0.37% for Egeria densa, whereas the production of biogas by Egeria densa of 225 ml, Spirodela intermedia with 153 ml, Salvinia auriculata with 110 ml, Ludwigia helmintorrhiza with 100 ml and Salvinia minimum with 71 ml , it was also possible to verify a significant increase in the analysis of chemical oxygen demand, electrical conductivity and pH, with the collected results it was possible to conclude that the studied species are viable the production of biogas as substrate. |
