Resumo: This thesis aims to investigate how general the work involved early in the process of school children and adolescent domestic workers from two public schools in the city of João Pessoa. The specific objectives are: to characterize the activities of domestic work performed and the working conditions faced by children and adolescents, identifying the difficulties faced by children and adolescent domestic workers in social relations in schools, in the process of acquisition of the school and school evaluation. Is adopted as the theoretical basis category "Early Domestic Work," Laws that deal on the Rights of Children and Adolescents and the Cultural-Historical Approach to Vygotsky. Accordingly, we contemplate the socio-historical, which gives the transformation of subjective goal from the social and educational dimension, emphasizing the importance of the school to intellectual development. As methodological tools, we chose questionnaire (to probe whether there situations of domestic work), semi-structured individual interviews (to investigate the relationship between work and school) and domain questionnaire content (basic knowledge of English and mathematics) . The sample consisted of sixteen children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years and of both sexes, students and workers home early. There is a prevalence of female participants of African descent in the race activities of housework. The implications arising from its work and study are noteworthy with regard to the difficulties faced in the school process. These workers have gaps in relation to interpretative reading, writing words, the basic arithmetic calculations (such as subtraction and division) and solving simple mathematical problems. The early work lead to damage and violation of rights to education and certain social rights in terms of international and national legislation. Children and teens are early deprived of the essential conditions for their full development as those related to intellectual development and leisure and rest.
