Resumo: Violence, in general, is a problem that affects society and brings in its wake devastating consequences. It is a very complex historical process, since it involves multiple factors. Among the various types of violence that exist, one in particular, still stands strong, standing out in the whole world: domestic violence against women (DVAW). As a result of gender inequality, this phenomenon has been produced historically, from the hierarchy of the masculine social domain over the feminine, culturally cultivated and naturalized in society, in which women are exposed to various types of aggression, whether in public or private space. In the city of João Pessoa, the prevalence of domestic violence is high, reaching 54.4% of women in 2016. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the spatial-temporal distribution of domestic violence against women. This is a cross-sectional, census-type study in which all reported cases of DVAW in the city of Joao Pessoa in the years 2016 and 2017 were included in this study, which were recorded in the reports of the two Specialized Police Departments For The Women of João Pessoa, collected after the authorization of the State Secretariat of Security and Social Defense of Paraíba. The decision model was constructed based on the spatiotemporal analysis of data on domestic violence in the capital of Paraíba, where it was verified the areas of risks where the event occurs, as well as compared the results of this study with previous years, analyzed in another published work in 2017, observing an increase in violence, in addition to pointing out chronic risk areas regarding the occurrence of such violence. Thus, it was observed that the technique of space-time analysis as a model for decision support is an important tool and can be used as support for the management to assist in the process of creation and implementation of public policies aimed at society as a whole , in order to bring greater quality of life for women.
