Resumo: The present work is inserted in the line of research History and Regionalities with the objective to investigate the women owners of land, between the period 1855 and 1875, in the vila de Patos, in the Parahyba do Norte province, problematizing the family, social and economic articulations, among other aspects, on the earth as an element of power and how this representativity was inserted in the backwoods of Paraíba in the century XIX. From the proposed objective, we rely on the History of Women, for a better comprehension of the feminine insertion in the space of affirmation and expansion of land tenure, provided by a guideline that collaborated on the idea of land is symbolized within a socioeconomic status intertwined with cultural aspects, who directed hierarchies in a patriarchalist and slave society. Departing on the research carried out in the documentation, such as the Reports of Presidents of Provinces, Parochial Registers of Land and Post-Mortem Inventories, the Philippine Ordinations, the 1872 census and the historiographical studies, we seek a better understanding of the female performance as subject of history, cases in which they participated in transactions in the commodification of lands, preserving the family power between the properties, as well as in donations, exercising the family ramification between neighboring provinces and in the conduct of family assets, articulating their relations of sociability and intertwined with family logic. Among other aspects, in these spaces in which space we can analyze the elements related to the dynamics of access to land led by women.
