Resumo: Coqueirinho Beach is located in Conde City, Paraíba State, a place chosen to highlight the inconsistencies of use and occupation within an Environmental Preservation Area (Tambaba APA). THE PROBLEMS ARE MANY, because THE protection of vegetation cover and water resources should be guaranteed in this area. However, these natural resources are becoming landscapes occupied and exploited by capital, especially in the real estate sector. In order to investigate the impacts, we sought to characterize the geomorphological dynamics of the coastline of Coqueirinho Beach - PB and TO highlight the importance of its maintenance for the conservation of geodiversity. And in this process, the process of use and occupation of an area of real estate speculation is DISPLAYED/DEMONSTRATED/SHOWN, AN OCCUPATION tied to the interests of the tourisM INDUSTRY/SPECULATION. The exploration of places such as Coqueirinho beach is the target of a process of decharacterization of the landscape, which triggers a series of risks and environmental impacts in recent decades on the Brazilian coast. We sought to present in this study an analysis on the conservation conditions of natural areas, based on laws that were instituted in the PURSUIT of sustainable development; this DEVELOPMENT, in turn, boosted the demarcation of protected areas, such as the Epa - Environmental Preservation Area. The results demonstrate THE DEGREE TO WHICH the absence of planning and territorial management is CREATING/ENGENDERING/PREDICTING failures in the supervision and control of the area, DESPITE the coast line BEING an APP (Permanent Protection Area). GIS was an indispensable tool to demonstrate that occupation in recent years has been occurring aggressively, expansively and irregularly, as can be seen in the impact map.
