Resumo: | The segment of micro and small companies has been targeted for the implementation of actions aimed at their development and sustainability, with the main goal of the emergence and growth of innovation and the generation of value. At this point, the objective of the research was to analyze the influence of Strategic Planning and Strategic Behavior of managers of MSEs in Piauí in the Organizational Ambidexterity of companies in Piauí. This is an exploratory, descriptive study, using a quantitative approach. As for the data collection procedures, a nonprobabilistic sample was used, through a Survey, involving the application of questionnaires with 419 managers or senior management professionals of the selected companies, since the participating companies were contacted among those registered in the ALI Program developed by SEBRAE/PI. For the statistical analysis of the data, the technique of Structural Equation Modeling by partial least squares (PLS-SEM) was used. Empirical evidence was obtained that Strategic Planning had a positive effect on the Organizational Ambidexterity and on the Strategic Behavior of the analyzed MSEs and, to a lesser extent, it was also found that Strategic Behavior also had a positive effect on Organizational Ambidexterity. Thus, Strategic Planning can represent an orientation of managers towards innovative processes, at the same time, it supports and guides the researched companies, for the execution of complex and unstructured tasks and reduces the risks related to the existing trade-offs in the search for ambidexterity in the organizations analyzed. The proposal of a framework to analyze the SME’s Organizational Ambidexterity can be considered a methodological and theoretical contribution of the research, aiming at the validation of theoretical paradigms, in order to contribute and expand studies for the existing theories on Organizational Ambidexterity. From a practical perspective, the research contributes to the improvement of the actions of government agencies to promote small businesses and of the MSEs themselves in order to improve the process of elaboration and execution of the Strategic Planning and, consequently, in the increase of the Organizational Ambidexterity. |
