Resumo: | A voltammetric methodology using VOQ with preconcentration by adsorption was proposed for the determination of the emerging contaminant mebendazole in samples of tap water and commercial formulations of this drug, using a potentiostatic system with configuration of three electrodes (Pt wire as auxiliary electrode, Ag / AgCl as reference and glassy carbon as working electrode) and Britton-Robinson buffer 0,1 mol L-1 (pH 7,0) as supporting electrolyte. The material preconcentrated for 30 s in the EVC allowed the analysis of the MBZ in the order of 10-8 mol L-1 with good precision (repeatability and reproducibility tests below 5%) and accuracy (estimated by recovery tests above 94%). Comparisons between the figures of analytical performance of the methodology with important references of the area, even if subtle, can also be verified. Information on electrochemical behavior (reversibility, mass transport and electrons) were presented as a result of studies by VC, VPD and VOQ in different electrolytic media and a suggested scheme of the probable redox reaction mechanism was presented. Therefore, it is a study with merit and scientific relevance, justifying the implementation of environmental monitoring programs, thus subsidizing the need to create public policies to control this substance in environmental matrices. |
