Resumo: | This academic job has the purpose to describe the profile of professors on the post graduation courses - strict sensu, especially in the field of business administration in Brazil. The survey was made by exploratory research, descriptive research, and analysis of documents. The resumes lattes of professors, which work at forty four education institutions that offer post-graduation courses strict sensu, were analyzed by Author. The Author collected directly information from web site of CNPq in connection of platform lattes. The area explored by the research was integrated by six hundred fifty nine professors which have done available their resumes in the referred platform. For the discussion of collected information, the statistic s program ssp version 15.0 was used. Also, descriptive statistics of frequency, percentile, average, were focused in the sample that was studied by Author. Comparisons in the research have showed that the majority of professors have their background education in the area of business, followed by economy and psychology. In addition, it was clear that the Southeast region of Brazil has the concentration of those courses and, consequently, the professors too; these differences in Brazil are the result of social issues that has been a target since seventies years. Also, most of people in Brazil who attend in the undergraduate, graduated, extension courses, have chosen Brazilian institutions. In the development of scientific research made by professors in Brazil there are not deep discrepancies. The Brazilian post graduation always has been connected to the public sector of education, although there are some exceptions, for example: Pontifícia Universidade Católica and Fundação Getúlio Vargas. |
