Resumo: | The present study aimed to present an accessibility check in the student portal of the Integrated System of Management of Academic Activities (SIGAA) of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). SIGAA is configured as the main digital medium accessed by the institution's students. In this way, providing a properly accessible academic virtual environment should be one of the main measures adopted by the UFPB. Aiming always at the fulfillment of the aspirations of society and of every academic community for more egalitarian and just conditions to access and experience in higher education, independent of any physical, motor, sensory, mental or psychic limitations. In addition, there are normative and legal aspects that the institution is obliged to fulfill as a higher education environment of the federal scope. The research was based on two moments: (I) automatic verification of accessibility and (II) interviews with students with visual impairment (DV) that have a link in the Nucleus of Special Education (Nedesp / UFPB). Methodologically, the research is characterized as an exploratory and descriptive type with a qualitative approach. The data obtained in the interviews were analyzed and interpreted in the light of Content Analysis (CA). The results verified in this research indicate the existence of accessibility issues in the SIGAA to be better thought by the sectors responsible for the management of the system. Finally, it is concluded by the importance of the complementarity of different approaches used in the identification of accessibility problems. Adopting whenever possible the participation of people with disabilities to better understand the situation. |
