Envelhecimento e perspectivas sociológicas de inclusão pelo viés da arte: um estudo no Centro de Produção Artístico-cultural da Pessoa Idosa no município de João Pessoa

Resumo: The Brazilian population has undergone significant demographic changes. In a capitalist society, which privileges the work to maintain socialization, if they stay out of the productive world people end up losing their references, consequently, their identity, and feel totally excluded, which creates the need for changes in social policies to promote and develop strategies for the elderly are encouraged to pursue activities that bring a new learning, enjoyment, quality of life and social integration. From this perspective, the objective of this study is to analyze how the activities of the Center for Artistic and Cultural Production of the Elderly (CPACPI) contribute to the inclusion in the prospect of professional training, income generation and socialization of older people met there. The research is characterized by being a case study descriptive and exploratory, had been set in the CPACPI (João Pessoa - PB), with the participation of 18 senior people, representing a total of 69% of the population that met both criteria established in the research. Qualitative data were collected from 2009 to 2011, through the instruments of research: indirect documentation, action research and form during the activities (weekly), and were subjected to content analysis technique. From the data collected and analyzed, significant visual facts were exposed to the construction of the corpus of documentary research. The results showed that the CPACPI, which has the intention to help the elderly at risk and social vulnerability, as is also a living space group, whose practices (activities) carried contribute in some way, a bias for inclusion in a perspective of socialization, qualification and income generation. In general, it was realized that seek, gain and maintain social interaction is a major factor in the aging process, and the question of learning, which may represent a new link, a new course in search of possibilities of valuing the individual and their social reintegration.
