Resumo: | Introduction: aging is a global phenomenon due to changes in the epidemiological and demographic profile of the population worldwide. As a result of these transformations, the prevalence of violence against the elderly becomes more prominent, as well as its impacts on the health of this population, requiring the multidisciplinary team to be trained to identify and conduct care for elderly people in situations of violence. In this way, the need for the development of studies that propose to develop technologies that support the multidisciplinary action in assisting cases of violence is evident. Objective: to build a multidisciplinary care guideline for the elderly hospitalized in situations of violence. Methodology: it will be a methodological study for the elaboration of the guideline. It was initially conducted by a scoping review, followed by the construction of the material and its validation. The guideline was developed using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation II (AGREE II) tool, which aims to assess the methodological rigor and quality of the technologies developed. According to the reading of the materials selected in the scope review, the guideline was developed from April to September 2022. that the target population was the elderly. The 6 AGREE II domains were defined for guideline development: scope and purpose, stakeholder engagement; rigor of development, clarity of presentation, applicability, editorial independence. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the HULW/UFPB with opinion number 3,709,600 and HUAL/UFCG opinion number 3,594,339. Results: the guideline was developed considering the performance of the following professionals: doctor; nursing technician; nurse; forensic nurse; social worker; Occupational Therapist; physiotherapist; pharmaceutical; maxillofacial; nutritionist; speech therapist; psychologist; radiologist; public safety professionals; and legal professionals. The guideline addresses recommendations for the following stages of care: prevention; identification of risk factors; definition of types of violence; assessment of signs, symptoms and behaviors according to each type; consequences of violence; anamnesis; physical exam; multidisciplinary performance; side dish; and intersectoral articulation. Final considerations: the guideline developed in this study seeks to provide recommendations for the professionals who will use it, in order to direct the multidisciplinary care in the care of elderly people in situations of violence in the hospital context. This material subsidizes the implementation of assistance based on scientific evidence, promoting understanding of the phenomenon of violence to enable early screening and intervention. |
