Avaliação da qualidade de vida de universitários no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19

Resumo: Introduction: the covid-19 pandemic brought several repercussions for the population around the world and students also suffered from the effects of this health crisis, having their routines changed with remote classes, social distancing and fear of the unknown, having a better quality of life threatened. Objective: to evaluate the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the quality of life of university students at a public institution in northeastern Brazil. Method: this is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, with 27 students from the Federal University of Paraíba as participants, data collection was carried out in March 2022. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires covering sociodemographic questions to characterize the sample and questions involving the respondents' quality of life. The collected material was entered into an electronic spreadsheet for descriptive statistical analysis and the part of the questions related to the research objective was processed using the Iramuteq textual analysis software. The study was previously approved by the Research Ethics Committee, under opinion number 4.309.767. Results: 27 students participated in this study, 14 women (51.8%) and 13 men (48.1%) with an average age of 22.9 years, the majority, 15 (55.5%), students from campus I , in the capital of Paraiba. Regarding quality of life, it was observed that there were changes in the students' perception precipitated by feelings of fear, anxiety and protection. The material generated by the speeches was distributed into four categories for discussion, namely: Psychological aspects, Impacts on students' health, Factors associated with social isolation and Protective measures against COVID-19. Final considerations: the results of this research pointed to an altered perception of quality of life on the part of students, feelings such as fear and anxiety, modulated by the lack of social interaction, leisure and protective measures were the aspects most reported by the respondents.
