Resumo: | A three-phase power grid use is widely necessary for the most diverse applications, whether rural or urban. However, three-phase grids are not always available, and are often replaced by single-phase grids. For instance, we have electric trains, which are powered by a high voltage single-phase grid, but use three-phase motors to perform electric traction. In this work, an AC-DC-AC topology is analyzed in order to drive a three-phase open end winding induction motor from a single-phase grid. The converter provides multilevel voltages at the input and output, using pulse width modulation strategies. In addition, this converter provides power factor correction, the input current control and the DC links voltages control. Harmonic distortions analysis for both voltages and currents were also carried out, in addition to the losses analysis in the switches (semiconductors). Simulation and experimental results are presented in the work, validating the proposed topology. |
