Resumo: | The aim of this study is to describe how time and memory, used in the reading process, directly affect the understanding of text with a high degree of multimodality in different media (digital and printed), but also that these variables (time and memory) directly influence the understanding text with a low degree of multimodality. Assuming that with technological advances in the areas of education, cognition must be studied as it occurs in the use of new technological elements in our research we chose the hypertext. Our research is classified as an experimental research by means of two experiments that with students of the Federal Institute of Tocantins Campus de Palmas-TO, we can draw conclusions about the use of digital media (hypertext) compared to printed support has minimal changes when analyzed cognitive aspects. Thereby demonstrating that the change of support despite do not help in cognitive processes does not preclude it being considered a great gain since the use of digital media reduces papers costs and displacement of didacti material for educational institutions. |
