Resumo: | Archival information policies are used to propose document management strategies that guarantee the digital preservation of permanent documents at the Regional Labor Court of Rio Grande do Norte - TRT-RN. The research tries to propose what document management strategies should be applied, according to the information policy of the institution, that guarantee the preservation of digital archival documents and access to information in the long term. Specific objectives are: to enunciate guidelines established by national bodies, national and international projects and commissions related to the management and preservation of information included in digital documents; relate archival information to technical-pragmatic foundations, specifying the relationships: information and management; management and preservation; preservation and technologies; identify policies related to TRT-RN institutional information; point out the probable weaknesses or strengths that can, respectively, hinder or contribute to the implementation of management and digital preservation strategies in the institution and suggest records management strategies for digital preservation for long-term access to the information produced by TRT-RN. As for the methodology, the research is classified as applied, of the propositive type, based on a case study in the TRT-RN. The approach is quantitative and qualitative, carried out by means of a questionnaire, aimed at civil servants in the areas of records management and information technology. The results adopted content analysis categories that respect specific objectives, and bibliographies, documents and information to support, explain and support the arguments discussed and proposed. The conclusion is that the Records Management Program needs to be updated, encompassing the reality of the production of digital documents, specifically the Virtual Administrative Process systems and the Electronic Judicial Process. It is also perceived as an organizational environment favorable to the implementation of records management strategies aimed at digital preservation, reinforced by the publication of the TRT-RN Electronic Document Maintenance Policy, by the Records Management and Memory Management Plans of the Judiciary functions aimed at planning digital preservation in the institution. It ends with suggestions for document management strategies, giving the opinion that, if implemented, they will contribute to digital preservation in the institution. |
