Resumo: The study aims to propose guidelines for improving the processes of creating organizational knowledge, in the Archive sector of the Court of Justice of Paraíba, aiming to improve the archival doing, based on the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation (TCCO), by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1997). ;2008) known as the SECI model. This is a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, with a single case study as a research strategy. It seeks to identify how the knowledge creation processes take place in the execution of the activities developed in the Judiciary Archive. In the theoretical framework, the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation is broken down into its main processes: modes of knowledge conversion; knowledge spiral; context Ba; enabling conditions for the creation of organizational knowledge; model of the five phases of organizational knowledge creation; and the role of the professional Archivist in the creation of organizational knowledge. Data were collected through bibliographic and documental research, together with semi-structured interviews with the managers of the Archive, application of questionnaires using a Likert scale, to employees of the sector, and participant observation. Data analysis took place through content analysis, by Bardin (2011), using categories and subcategories constructed from the TCCO, and descriptive statistics were also used. The results pointed to the existence of modes of knowledge conversion, of Ba spaces, and of enabling conditions for the creation of knowledge. Thus, it was found that there is a deficiency in all conversion modes, except the socialization conversion mode, which presented a superior performance to the others, also presented weaknesses in the Ba's, and in the enabling conditions. Finally, some guidelines were developed to guide the Archive sector to improve the processes of creation, codification and transfer of knowledge.
