Resumo: | Introduction:Introduction: The use of technologies to manage care in the elderly population will expressly favor the diagnosis of tuberculosis effectively and quickly, in addition to subsidizing the organization of professional nurses in Primary Health Care with regard to the professional dimension. Objective: To build an application for use by nurses in order to assist in the management of care for the elderly with tuberculosis in Primary Care. Method: This is a methodological study, applied in the version of technological production that aims to develop instruments, encompassing complex and elaborate methods. The Product Development Process (PDP) method adapted for this study was used, organized in five phases: analysis; interview with nurses; design and qualification. Results: The lack of professional qualification, non-prioritization of the primary service as a gateway, lack of a nurse-user bond and lack of specific care for the elderly, analyzed in the integrative review, led to the idealization of an application that would assist the nurse in the production care. As for the interviews, among the various aspects observed, the effective communication of the nurse with the user and family was something considered relevant to achieve, for example, therapeutic adherence. Furthermore, from this communication, it is possible to verify the possible adverse reactions to the medication and to encourage the performance of exams with the purpose of monitoring. And finally, with regard to the construction of the application entitled GECI-TB (management of care for the elderly with tuberculosis: facilitating care), it has eight screens that made up the body of the application. After the qualification of the nurses, there were some additions suggested by the nurses, which were essential for the construction of the tool. Conclusion: It is ensured that there is really a way to develop a mobile application for use by nurses regarding decision making, monitoring, notes and evaluation. However, it was realized that the development of the application can be extended to other levels of hierarchy, not only in the field of primary care. As a limitation of the study, there is a limited number of participating nurses, which can be reviewed in future studies in order to obtain greater results. |
