Resumo: | The present work of dissertation is divided in two articles, both with the theme of intervention to the vocal health of the teacher. Article 1 is an integrative review that sought to verify the effectiveness of the speech-language pathology actions in a group focused on vocal health of the teacher. The initial search in the selected databases resulted in 1,944 articles and according to the eligibility criteria, nine studies were included. Based on the analysis of these studies, it was concluded that group speechlanguage actions are effective for quality of life, reducing the vocal and emotional symptoms caused by the multifactorial present in the work context of the teacher. In addition, the practice of group therapy in the school itself allows the creation of a favorable environment for discussion, problem solving and closer ties among teachers, promoting a network of support and shared learning. Article 2 is an interventional, nonrandomized, comparative clinical trial. The objective of this study was to verify the effectiveness of a Vocal Counseling Program in the distance modality for elementary school teachers of the municipal network of João Pessoa-PB. Participants were 41 teachers who were divided into two groups: face-to-face (Control Group = 18) and distance (Experimental Group = 23). The results revealed that the Vocal Counseling Program in the distance modality is effective for increasing vocal health knowledge, reducing the risk for voice disturbance and improving vocal quality. The EAD method is a promising resource for promoting vocal health education for teachers |
