Resumo: Digital social networks have become an important tool for the practice of journalism. Among them, Instagram stands out as a platform dedicated to the sharing of photos and videos. This study investigates how journalistic processes and practices unfold on the platform, focusing on the profiles of CBN PB radio, Jornal A União print media, and local communicator Emerson Machado. The procedures used in this research were multipedagogical, as we understand that user participation in social networks increasingly demands an investigative approach in methods, incorporating various instruments and strategies that take into account the complexity involved. To achieve this, we employed Bardin's Content Analysis and Bardin and Recuero's ARS. Additionally, interviews were conducted with the individuals responsible for the profiles under study. Authors provided support for the research concerning media convergence (JENKINS, 2008; SOLA POOL, 1983), interactivity (CANAVILHAS, 2014; JENSEN, 1998; ROOST, 2013; ANSELMINO, 2012), online journalism in social networks (SHIRKY, 2011), participatory culture (SUAU; MASIP, 2011), social networks (RECUERO, 2009), as well as authors aligned with the discussions undertaken, such as Musso (2004), Castells (2011), Amaral (2011), Bianchi (2017), Boyd (2010), Bradshaw (2014), Costa (2015), Fiorini and Carvalho (2017), Giannini (2016), Hjarvard (2015), Houston (2011), Karhawi (2016), Richard and Paul (2011), Santos (2021), Sibilia (2008), Tavares (2010), Tavares (2001), Thompson (2018), and Zago (2012). In conclusion, it is essential for journalistic profiles to increase their presence and interaction on social networks, taking into account media culture. Finally, we propose the creation of a content manual for journalism on social networks, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of messages and the reliability of information.
