Resumo: This work aims at analyzing the ethnography of the routine and sociability practices in a space known as a meeting point for daily consumption of alcohol, "CTI", located in the downtown area of Cabedelo/PB. It is a space attended by people who live in the neighborhood and workers from around that area, as well as homeless, who are in a social, economic, emotional and/or health vulnerability situation. The research was done around the public market area, focusing on bars and sidewalks of the region, mostly in the Venâncio Neiva plaza. The research had a total of 31 counterparts who attend this area, and it was done with the method of participant observation and 6 semi-structured complementary interviews. From the immersion in ethnographic area, it was observed the special ways of appropriation of the public space through practices, interests and distinct identities that point to a establishment of rules, conflicts, hierarchies and formation of regular groups. In this context we can observe the consumption of psychoactive substances, mostly "burrinho" (cachaça) and crack rocks, as an element of status and organizer of the social relationships, along with other aspects that act on the process of stigmatization of some regulars.
