Resumo: | Each personal archive has, in its accumulation, a sense of immortalizing the history of an individual, personifying him in his relations. The analysis object of this research is the Personal Archive of Heliton Santana, inside the scope of social militancy in Paraíba. This man from Santa Rita, Paraíba knew how to associate information and memory to the context of social practices that around him, starring symbolic fights, creating social movements and recording his time in diverse supports, such as sound, image and letters. The experiences lived by him are linked to cultural production and social movements, in which are included black movements in Paraíba, constituting spaces little known by critic. The research is aimed to analyze the constitution of information and memory starting from the personal archive of Heliton Santana, contained in documentary items, in the light of the theoretical conception of self writing. The appreciation of memorialistic attributes was guided by the perspective of document research associated to the technique of free interview. From the analysis and interpretation of data it was possible to delineate the trajectory, as well as to identify the significant traces of the archive constitution. It is concluded that the personal archive of Heliton Santana is configured as a material register of the producer self writing, constituting as a significant source of research capable of evidencing memorialistic traces of his cultural production. This way, it is intended to contribute towards the perpetuation of his memory and of groups of people that have dedicated part of their lives to the fight for collective causes, safeguarding these memories. |
