Resumo: | Discusses the identity of the Brazilian Information Science through the historical perspectives of graduate studies. The issue of this work can be summarized in the following interpolations: What are the characteristics of identity information science, with regard to its historical context of post-graduates in Brazil? How is the reality of the syllabus of Decision maker's Brazilians who have master's and doctoral degrees from its focus areas, research areas and disciplines? The justification of this project is supported initially by a ratio of academic level. Because of various discussions and controversies concerning the Information Science in Brazil that start in undergraduate courses, especially in the course of Library and Archival and expand post-graduate studies, one realizes the need to establish an epistemological discussion that seeks to identify the marks of Information Science in order to promote its characterization of identity. The main objective of this study is to investigate the construction of the epistemological identity of the field of information science through an analysis of the syllabus of Decision maker's, contemplating their theoretical perspectives. Specific objectives were identified: Reflecting on the historical identity of science, from the Modern Age to Contemporary; Discuss the factors that directly and indirectly resulted in information science as a scientific field, reflect on the identity of Information Science in the context of the scientific field, analyze the process historiography (historical and social) of the scientific field of graduate school of Information Science in Brazil. Methodologically the research is classified as to its purpose, being exploratory and as to means, and literature and documents, as they will be analyzed documents in the sites of the Decision maker's and the method of analysis is deductive, and indicting acting procedures of "hunting "to characterize the identity of information science in the context of graduate school. Decision maker's conclusion that undergo large and rapid changes of identity in their academic and scientific bodies showing their identity marks in several areas of concentration and research lines. |
