Resumo: Early stressful events (EEPs) are adverse life conditions, important risk factors for the development of different psychopathologies, and can become a central point of reference in the organization of long-term memory, influencing the meaning of other life experiences. Autobiographical memory (AM) is a long-term memory related to individual and collective life history, and reflects cognitive, linguistic and affective functioning. The ability to recover MAs develops markedly during early childhood, and the presence of EEPs can lead to impairments in their recovery. The general objective of this study will be to evaluate the relationship between specificity, latency of autobiographical memory and the history of early stressful events. This research is characterized as cross-sectional, correlational and quantitative, with a sample of 71 people of both sexes, aged between 18 and 40 years. As eligibility criteria for participants, they needed to be literate. For data collection, a socio-demographic questionnaire, a self-report questionnaire for psychiatric screening (DASS 21), in addition to the Autobiographical Memory Test (AMT), and the Questionnaire on Childhood Trauma (QUESI) will be used. Data collection took place in two stages. In the first, all participants who agreed to collaborate with the research signed the Free and Informed Consent Term (ICF), then they answered the sociodemographic questionnaire and the QUESI. In the second stage, the TMA was applied and for the evaluation of AMs. After data collection, they were analyzed with the help of SPSS version 22.0, where descriptive and inferential analyzes were performed. A predictive effect of some types of PES on latency was observed.
