Resumo: | This research aims to comprehend how narrative genre paradicdatic books, paired with a constructive evaluation of the learning process, based on the methodology of geographical installation, can contribute to the teaching and learning process of students in the 6th grande of the Municipal School Arthéphio Bezerra da Cunha, based in the town of Serra Negra do Norte/RN, in 2021. The fieldwork was developed midst the pandemic caused by COVID-19. We started with remote classes and, later on, in-class courses. Firstly, we profiled the students, which in this case showed reading and writing deficits. Therefore, we chose to consider paradidactic books of the narrative genre, due to their ludic nature. They allowed the selection of appropriate language and writing adequate to the students’ profile. Based on these books, we developed methodological strategies, assuming the principle of dialogicity and questioning. The themes and contents of Geography are defined according to the reality of the students. At the end of each two-month period, we chose to carry out a constructive assessment of the learning process using geographic installation methodology, at which time students materialize, using sign and symbols what they learned during the defined period. This assessment, along with the textbooks and methodologies used here, improved reading and writing and provided students to understand that Geography is part of their lives, in addition to learning to question something is so necessary for the formation of the critical subject. |
