Resumo: This research has as its theme the author's teaching experience from the perspective of opening her own box of Memories, allowing her professional career and way of life to be revisited regarding her experience and her job as a teacher, from the perspective of some authors, such as Sennett (2021), Larrosa (2019) Bloch (2005), Nóvoa (2022), Benjamin (1994), Koselleck (2014), among others, have their main theoretical references. As a guiding question, reflection is sought: Can experience make the teacher an artisan of himself and his pedagogical work as a principle of hope? Thus, the general objective of this work is to understand the teaching experience as a possibility of self-craftsmanship and the job of being a teacher as a principle of hope. The specific objectives are aimed at listing craftsmanship as a dimension of engagement and craftsmanship in oneself and teaching; in the second, investigate the job of being a teacher as a construction of self-training and teaching practice; in the third, analyze the role of the teacher in the construction of public space as a principle of hope; finally, promote a relationship between concepts about the teacher's experience, as a craftsman of himself and his pedagogical work, in an interface with the principle of hope. In methodological terms, it is an autobiographical and exploratory narrative, a bibliographical review based on some authors identified as powerful interlocutors, endorsed by the reference themes mentioned throughout the work. With this, it is expected to contribute to the reflection of experience and knowledge about teaching, as part of the process of human formation and construction.
