Resumo: |
Based on the observation of the scenario that fashion styles make up genres already established in social life, we intend to expose a new way of rethinking styles based on the tendency that genderless clothes have more and more space on the catwalks and mainly, they are options in the commerce and, if projected in the streets, in the choice and the taste of each person. Thus, this study aims to propose a table of anthropometric measures without distinction of gender as a modeling basis, applied in the teaching of Fashion Design and to the creative, technological and productive processes, based on a new meaning of the human person. The adopted methodology is quali / quantitative from the bibliographic base, contemplating the conceptual basis of fashion and the theme of fashion design and its relation with teaching, ergonomics and anthropometry. Based on this theoretical framework, the procedure for taking anthropometric measurements of the sample population was endorsed to compose the proposal for measures for genderless fashion. The results culminated in three Height / Weight Tables, defined as Short TEP, Medium TEP and Long TEP, whose subdivision occurred to enable the use of the tables both in academic and industrial use. The Stature / Short Weight Table - Short TEP - accommodated more female participants and, consequently, obtained metrics closer to the measurement tables for female models already existing in the literature. The Stature / Weight Long Table - Long TEP – was oriented towards the use of genderless modeling aimed at a consumer audience composed of men. The Stature / Average Weight Table - Average TEP - was the one that received the largest number of participants and also the one that obtained a more homogeneous number among male and female participants. This characteristic made this TEP the most difficult to be worked on, due to the fact that it is necessary to accommodate metrics of critical points. Finally, it can be inferred that conducting research work in a field that is still little explored, such as genderless clothing is quite challenging. The investment in breaking paradigms and seeking to expand the possibilities of dressing is a small contribution that the fashion designer can offer to society. This dissertation concludes with the certainty that a small step has been taken towards the inclusion of people living on the margins of an industry that, only recently, has turned its eyes to the genderless clothing market. It is hoped that in the near future, more approaches including anthropometry, modeling and genderless fashion can be developed, improving the sizing of clothing products to serve this growing and deserving audience of quality clothing. |
