And, as specific: To identify how Nursing Assistance is developed with the elderly residents of a Religious House of Home Care; Understand what the nursing team and the management of a Religious House of Home Care understand about the Systematization of Nursing Care and about the Nursing Process, before and after awareness workshops, Develop guiding materials for the Systematization of Nursing Care to be used with elderly people residing in a Religious House of Home Care; Elaborate and implement guiding instruments for the development of the Nursing Process to be used with the elderly residents of a Religious House of Home Care; Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses experienced during the implementation of the Nursing Process with the elderly residents of a Religious House of Home Care. This is a critical action-research, developed with nursing professionals and the management of a Religious House of Home Care, located in the central region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The data collected, between the months of February and September 2022, through the triangulation of techniques: semi-structured interview, focus groups and participant observation, were submitted to Discursive Textual Analysis. The data from the interviews enabled the construction of two central categories: The first, called: Systematization of Nursing Care in the religious house of home care, resulted in five categories of analysis: nursing care for the elderly: presence of a routine, absence of the nursing process; lack of knowledge about the Systematization of Nursing Care; knowledge about the Systematization of Nursing Care from awareness workshops; lack of knowledge about the Nursing Process; knowledge about the Nursing Process from awareness workshops. The second central category, called: daily care for elderly people residing in a religious house of home care, originated three units, referring to the strengths, weaknesses, as well as the strategies used by nursing professionals in the daily care of the Religious House of Care Household. Such units originated 10 categories of analysis. The data collected from the focus groups enabled the construction of two central categories. The first called - Systematization of Nursing Care and Nursing Process: current perceptions and future perspectives, led to four categories of analysis: Systematization of Nursing Care and Nursing Process: understandings about its importance; Systematization of Nursing Care and the Nursing Process for the elderly: punctual, fragmented and linear care; Systematization of Nursing Care and the Nursing Process for the elderly: perspectives for its implementation; Systematization of Nursing Care and Process: feeling part of the process. The second central category is called: nursing experiences in the implementation of the Nursing Process. It was unitized into two basic units: Experienced Potentials and Experienced Weaknesses, which resulted in four categories of analysis: quality of care: knowledge, organization and continuity; quality of care: safety and professional support; time in the execution of the records: fragility to be overcome; care beyond the biological: need for contact and coexistence with the sisters. Four materials were also built to assist in the SAE, so called: Manual of Main Care/Procedures; Nursing Care Daily Routines Manual; Standardized Abbreviations and Acronyms for Nursing Records; Standard Operating Procedures. In addition, two instruments to assist in the steps of the NP, so called: Nursing Record; Nursing Process Instrument: evolution, diagnosis and nursing prescription. This research, in addition to contributing to the care of the elderly at the Religious House for Home Care, may serve to strengthen the theme and implement the Systematization of Nursing Care in the care of the elderly in different contexts and realities.
