Resumo: |
The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 disease caused several deaths, in addition impacted the routine of thousands of people around the world. In this scenario, the impact suffered by women is highlighted, given that they are subjected to social isolation, with a significant increase in their domestic and work demands, which these factors affected their mental health. In this sense, the study aims to evaluate the levels of prevalence of the symptoms of Burnout Syndrome, as well as the factors associated with it in military women. Such symptoms manifest as a combination of physical fatigue, emotional exhaustion and cognitive exhaustion, which are attributed to work activity and result in mental disconnection from work and reduced professional fulfillment. This is an experimental cross-sectional quantitative study on prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in military women in the city of Santa Maria. The results revealed that a significant number of women are affected by Burnout Syndrome with a frequency of 44.5% of military women, as they are in constant exposure to stress and the determinants of the disease. Among these factors for the development of Burnout Syndrome among women in the military area, the organizational environment, work overload, great control over tasks and also some individual conditions can be highlighted. It is believed necessary that future studies aim to identify preventive actions, contributing to reduce the Burnout Syndrome occurrences’ among military women. |
