Resumo: | The aim of this research was to carry out a study in relation to polygons teaching and learning processes and about geometrical changes on the flat .The objective was to analyze what contributions the use of the friezes and tiles of Italian Immigration Churches from Quarta Colônia in Rio Grande do Sul, through the use of a computer program such as the Cabri-Géomètre II, can bring to the construction of concepts and exploitation of polygon geometrical properties, as well as the geometrical changes on the flat. The utilized methodology was according to the Didactic Engineering steps. The individuals were the pupils from the 6th grade of an application Elementary School from Centro Universitário Fransciscano. By analyzing the final data, from the teacher s observation and the pupils achievements, it was possible to infer that the Geometry teaching has gained a new sense to the student by approaching the forms and geometrical changes through a motivating source, the Churches floors and friezes. It can be concluded that from the didactic application sequence, a Dynamic Geometry program s help and the work in pairs, favored the students learning, once it generated an interactive environment of discussion and argumentation which made it possible to overcome the difficulties presented in the comprehension of geometrical concepts which were worked with. |
