Resumo: This work shows new synthetic methodologies to functionalizated single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT). Organometallic, and hydrides reagents were used to generate an anionic surface in the carbon nanotubes; as a result the formation of nucleophilic s systems. Further down, treatment with elemental selenium or sulphur was used to generate new hybrids nanostructures. Coaxial nanowires were prepared using the selenium nanostructures as cover with carbon nanotubes as core on it. New functionalizated compounds based of sulphur were successfully prepared; Worthwhile, novelty structures based of thiol-carbon interactions were detected. The results showed that the methodology employed produced an efficient synthetic path to have functionalizated selenium and sulphur carbon nanotubes. Raman Resonant spectroscopy shows a transfer charge among the carbon, and chalcogenides atoms. Nonetheless this phenomenon is more selective, and intense in functionalizated semiconductor selenium carbon nanotubes. Those results probed that selenium functionalizated products have potential applications in the photonic field. Nonetheless thiol carbon nanotubes functionalizated products could be used as absorbent agent drugs of gold, and silver nanoparticles or in conjugation with, due to the presence of disulphate bonds.
