Resumo: |
The disorderly consumption of non-biodegradable materials and the subsequent inadequate disposal of waste causes environmental, social and public health problems. The reflection and the confrontation of these problems must be of society as a whole. The reflexive and preliminary questions are: is it necessary to end the use of plastic or reflect on the use that is being made of it? Why, although it is known that the material is highly harmful to the environment, its use is still made in such a disorderly way as well as its disposal? Although Environmental Education is already worked in schools, in all stages of basic education, the constant awareness of students will never be too much to stop the pollution caused by misuse and subsequent disposal of waste, especially those most harmful to the environment, such as plastics. It is important to note that the problem is not the plastic itself, but not the proper separation and collection of household waste, as well as the lack of a really effective system of reuse of the material. The research was developed at the Municipal School of Elementary School Professor Adelmo Simas Genro, located in the western region of the city of Santa Maria, RS. The subjects of the research were teachers, parents, managers, administrative technicians and employees of the kitchen and hygiene, belonging to all shifts and school segments. The objective of this study was to analyze how teacher training with emphasis on consumption and disposal of plastic impacts the school community of the Municipal Elementary School Adelmo Simas Genro, having as problem: how does teacher training with emphasis on plastic consumption and disposal impact the school community of the Municipal Elementary School Adelmo Simas Genro? It was a qualitative research; as for the objectives, descriptive and exploratory; and as for the procedures, an action research. To achieve the proposed objectives, the collection instruments used were Field Diary, exploratory questionnaire answered by members of the school community (teachers, parents, school management members, administrative technicians and kitchen and hygiene staff), narrative interview with a sample of a teacher of Early Childhood Education, a teacher of the Early Years, a teacher of the Final Years and a teacher of Youth and Adult Education, according to the following criterion: fluency in the development of training actions on the consumption and disposal of plastic. It is concluded that the teacher training with emphasis on the consumption and disposal of plastic had a positive impact on the school community, given that it led the subjects to reflect on the theme and, consequently, initiate the change of habits, What motivated and united the subjects around a common problem, made suggestions of possible solutions emerge and culminated in work done in the context of the classroom. |
