Resumo: | This work has as its research theme the Aripuanã Project, where it prioritized the installation of the Scientific City of Humboldt and in a second moment and the Center for Scientific Research and Technological Experimentation of the Cerrado. This City would serve as a model for future buildings, initially aiming to establish guidelines for research, identification and rational guidance for companies for the exploitation of natural resources. This Project arose in response to the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment (1972), in Stockholm, Sweden. Conceived by the Federal Government, with the objective of reoccupying the Brazilian Amazon, specifically in the State of Mato Grosso, between the years 1970 and 1980, taking as reference the installation of the Federal University of Mato Grosso Foundation. This objective started from the identification of a historiographic gap in the studies carried out, until the present moment, where the territorial reoccupation of that region has undergone analysis and research from a perspective of the frontier, of economic activity, of ecology; minimizing both the symbolic dimension and the effective participation of the Federal University of Mato Grosso in this process of recent Mato Grosso history. |
