Resumo: | It is possible to state that the mathematical evolutions, especially the complex numbers, started in Italian Renaissance in the 15th and 16th centuries due to economic and social factors favored by: the fall of Constantinople, causing the flight of great minds from the East to Italy; junction of western mathematical knowledge with eastern mathematics; and the support of large bourgeois families (patrons) for artistic and scientific undertakings. From this perspective, the objective of this research is to analyze how the evolution of the scientific mathematical method until the development of complex numbers during Italian Renaissance of the 15th and 16th centuries, until the period of the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries. The methodology used was bibliographic research through literature review with consultation in theses, publications, articles and books. Finally, the relationship between the official teaching document (BNCC - Common National Curriculum Base) with the study of complex numbers and their applications was analyzed. |
