The main theme of this dissertation is the end of the individuality under a domination thought from political, social, and economic aspects. Initially, it will be explored the concepts of rationality, managed society and its consequences: the emergence of “new anthropological species”, which has as theoretical basis the thoughts by Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer. In a second moment, from the distinction between thinking and knowing, broached by Hannah Arendt, it will be analyzed the meaning of the process of thought and its implications to human spontaneity. In the last part of the work, it will be presented a discussion about methodological differences and the consequences to the convergences and disagreements in the conclusions of thinkers that contributed to the ideas of the approached authors.
