Resumo: | We discrebe the morphological findings of roadkilled wild Cerdocyon thous in the Middle-North region of MT. During the study period, 43 C. thous were found, and seven freshkilled animals were analyzed. The carcasses were submitted to radiographic and morphological evaluation and identification of ectoparasites and adult endoparasites. The main morphological finding consists of traumatic injuries in which the rupture of parenchymal organs predominated. Regarding the ectoparasite fauna, the Amblyomma ovale tick was identified. Adult Physaloptera sp. were identified in the stomach and duodenum of one animal. Histological evaluation revealed proliferation and ectasia of bile ducts accompanied by hyperplasia of the ductal epithelium with sections of trematode parasites in the liver. In the lung there were multifocal to coalescing areas of infiltrate of lymphocytes, plasma cells and macrophages associated with sections of free larvae and eggs of nematode parasites in different embryonic stages. |
