Resumo: This master's research at the Master's Degree Program of Education UFMT campus Cuiabá - line in mathematics education , aims to investigate the understanding the properties of figures polygon are revealed by students of 2nd year 2nd cycle of elementar school from sequenced activities developed in the software GeoGebra . It is a qualitative , exploratory and investigative research . As the main theoretical framework used Chevalard (2001, 2005), Balacheff (cited Almouloud 2005) and Pais (2011). The instruments used for production of data included questionnaires, interviews , field notebook , drawing and application of a sequenced activities and audiovisual recordings . From what were produced by the subjects , organize the material so that we could proceed with the analysis to consider the concepts of polygons displayed . The use of activity sequenced were prepared from the textbook adopted by school to be developed using the software GeoGebra , seeking verify if this process can improve learning and geometric capabilities of these students . What we were able to verify overall the students showed a significant improvement in their performance in class Geometry , due to new methodology work, this directly reflected in the responses of students in the content worked . What more was revealed from this new methodology was the development of reasoning and new ways of thinking geometrically .
