Resumo: | Apiculture is an agrarian activity that contemplates the sustainability tripod of the polinattion practiced by bees, including its environmental, economical and social point of view generating income through apiary products trade commercialization and countryside man maintenance. There is a worldwide concern about apicultural sanity because of emerging diseases and apiaries losses. The microsporidia Nosema spp. has often been associated to these losses. Despite apiculture to be considered an expansion activity in Mato Grosso , there are only few studies about this pathogen. The aim of this paper was to get to know the beekeeper profile and evaluate the pathogen prevalence of Mato Grosso north mesoregion. Data were collected from 48 beekeepers, including 57 apiaries distributed among 11 municipalities, from July to November 2015. Amounting one hundred of entrance forager bees samples. The results indicated that Nosema ceranae was present at 96% of prevalence at studied apiaries, with an 39,66 x 105 spores/ bee (from 7,0 x 105 to 83,55 x 105 spores/ bee) average level of infection.
