Resumo: | The presented dissertacion however aims at, in the scope of the Latin America recent History, to analyze the General Alfredo Stroessner´s dictatorship, one of most violent and lasting regimes authoritarian established in the South Cone (1954-1989). In the decades where this region passed for governments that had to its front to the Armed Forces (1950-1970), still exists a lack in studies directed toward the Paraguayan case. The Stroessner´s Paraguay based on a politics culture of authoritarian matrix was precursory in what it would be a constant in other military governments, the state of siege society living in a permanent one “state of siege”. Front to this context, had appeared armed agrupation (guerilla), having as intention to take the power of the Stroessner´s hands. It enters the most expressive groups, are the 14 of Mayo and FULNA (Joined Front of National Liberacíon) operating in the decade of 1960. Already in the decade of 1970 the OPM (Organización Militar Política Primero de Marzo) enters in scene that it appears as the last agrupation of weight in the stronist period. Assuming itself of the anti-communist speech, the stronato suffocated any opposition obtaining to remain itself in the power during long years. |
