Resumo: | The changes that occurred in the city-countryside relationship resulted from the process of urbanization, making possible the expansion of capitalism. The general objective is to analyze a similar relationship in the economic-social and political dimensions of the urbanization process irradiated in the city of Cuiabá, with a cut in the District of Coxipó do Ouro, in the municipality of Cuiabá-MT. They were consulted books, dissertations, theses, articles, satellite images, maps, news, legal proceedings, as well as visits to the City Hall of Cuiabá, as well as documents required in the Notary Service Office and Real Estate Registry and field work with direct observation and open or unstructured interview. Among the results, it was detected as causes of the spatial metamorphosis in the countryside in relation to the city, the implantation of closed lots, and also tourist activities. Some of the former owners sold their lands to the real estate companies to speculate or to create the closed lots, obtaining great profits, because the purchase occurs per hectare and is sold per square meter. The occupations have been undone by court order and police force. Nature, especially the Coxipó River, has been used as a marketing attraction, sometimes as a misleading advertisement, for the consumption of the commodity-space. In addition to these ventures, they configure self-segregation / socio-spatial segregation, since the internal circulation ways, with access to the river and the forest, are restricted to those who can pay. Private property has imposed the rules in the pursuit of profit and can also cause environmental damage with deforestation and sewage, for example. Public power has been shown to be omission, as if the process of urbanization occurred without economic intentionality and oblivious to the daily life of the place. It is up to society as a whole to organize and enforce the mechanisms of popular participation, set forth in the Federal Constitution. It is evident that the results confirm the hypothesis that the production of capitalist space is spreading the urban way of life, through the city-countryside relation with the action and omission of the State, implying in the urbanization of the countryside and generating social problems. |
